  • Introduction

Sainte Anne occupies a 220-hectare private island surrounded by one of the largest Marine National Parks in the Indian Ocean, just off the Seychelles' main island, Mahe'. It is a magical corner of the world, where pristine rainforest meets immaculate beaches and azure waters.

Somewhere amongst this is the resort, a series of private villas tucked amongst the trees, by the beach, on the secluded side of the island. As rich in natural beauty as it is in cultural heritage, the stylishly restored colonial atmosphere is a big part of the magic at Sainte Anne's.

Sainte Anne blends seamlessly with nature. Lazy days can be spent discovering the island's natural delights. On the pristine beaches, strewn with granite rocks, the only footsteps that you will see will be your own… Colourful bougainvilleas, frangipani trees, hibiscuses and palm trees blend in with the original vegetation. Immerse yourself in an island of dreams and sensual pleasures.

Superb cuisine is served in the resort's restaurants, which include three beach restaurants to add to the enjoyment of your holiday in the Seychelles.

The resort has paid a great deal of attention to its leisure facilities. Nestled in an idyllic tropical setting, the Spa by Clarins is a spacious sanctuary for the body and mind. The resort also has a Sports & Leisure Centre. In the crystal-clear waters of the Marine Park, a colourful kingdom of sea-life is ready to be explored. The underwater kaleidoscope of colours, shapes and slants of light swirls with innumerable fish species, while spectacular corals, sea anemones and algae act as a fascinating stage set. Departing from the Sports Centre, three different treks invite you to discover the many facets of Sainte Anne Island under the guidance of the qualified staff.

  • Restaurants & Bars

A variety of dining experiences at Sainte Anne cater for everything from small and intimate gatherings to large formal affairs. For dining, snacking, celebrating, relaxing, socializing, or doing business, at any time of the day, you will find the answer to your culinary desires. Here is a food and beverage operation truly befitting of its remarkable surrounds.

L'Abondance is the main restaurant overlooking the pool and edged by cool reflecting ponds, with the largest seating area of all Sainte Anne's dining ventures. It specializes in buffets which change every day.

    Le Mont Fleuri

From its look-out at the top of a granite outcrop, Le Mont Fleuri restaurant offers commanding views of Sainte Anne island and across the sea to Mahe. Known as the finest restaurant in the Seychelles, Le Mont Fleuri treats guests to an ambiance of discreet luxury. Dining is at tree-top level where guests may choose superb dishes.

Dotted on the beach opposite L'Abondance is a string of thatched pavilions linked together by a stone walkway, providing the setting for L'Oceane restaurant. Simplicity and authenticity are the restaurant's hallmarks. Translated into English as “ocean”, it is therefore only natural for the restaurant to specialise in fresh fish and seafood, complemented by a few local dishes.

    Le Robinson

Creating an ambiance that lives up to the restaurant's namesake, Le Robinson is situated in a spectacular setting, with an uninterrupted view over the ocean. Set on the beach beneath Le Mont Fleuri restaurant, it is lined on one side with spectacular granite rocks and on the other with tall takamaka trees. Hidden from view, Le Robinson resembles a “pirate lair” or secret cave.

    Takamaka Beach Bar

The Takamaka Beach Bar is located on the beach called Anse Tortue or “Turtle Bay” in English. It has breathtaking views over small islets such as Moyenne Island, Round Island, Cerf Island and Long Island. But the charm of it all is that it provides a natural setting where guests can sit with their toes in the sand, in the shade of a centuries-old takamaka tree.

    Le Sans-Souci Bar

This is the resort's main bar overlooking the pool and sea. It serves tropical cocktails and flavored rum from morning til midnight.

    Health Bar

Grab a refreshing snack at this refreshing little bar, located at the Sports and Leisure Centre.

  • Activities & Recreation

Recreation and sports facilities at the resort are endless, so you may get amongst the inspiring and stunning surrounds in whichever way you choose. The snorkeling is world class, and the glass bottom boats and kayaks are also a great way to see the magical underwater world of the Seychelles. Marvel at turtles on the beach, cycle or trek the rainforest pathways. Work out at the gym, make use of the two flood lit tennis courts with some friendly competition.

    Excursion to Moyenne Island

If you want to venture further, join the resort's friendly excursion team for a trip to Moyenne island. This island is a national park upon itself, and houses more than two thirds of the endemic species of the Seychelles! It provides a home for over 100 giant land tortoises. The eldest tortoise, Desmond, is 76 years old, according to the island's owners. You might even find some pirate treasure buried here, as the island is rumored to be the hiding place for gold and other treasure...

    Sea Turtles at Sainte Anne

The island of Sainte Anne in the Seychelles is a favourite nesting ground for sea turtles.
The turtle egg laying season spans a period from October to January every year. Each day, three turtles on average come ashore to lay their eggs on one of the six beaches or creeks that form the shores of Sainte Anne. Most of them are hawksbill turtles but some green sea turtles may also be spotted occasionally.
About two months later mainly on the secluded beach of Anse Manon, some lucky guests have the privilege of witnessing the miracle of life as baby turtles make their way towards the ocean for the first time.
Preventative measures at the resort, ensuring that the turtles can hatch in peace are already bearing fruit as an increasing number of turtles are coming back each year to nest on the island.
Don't miss this magical opportunity and observe the wonder of a myriad of baby sea turtles hatching their way into the world.
